Short Summary
A first-floor master suite addition that redefines comfort and connection—balancing English Tudor character with clean lines, vaulted ceilings, and a seamless link to the landscape.
Project Description
Our client came to us with a simple but meaningful goal: to make her home work for the next chapter of her life. She loved her Tudor-style house but wanted a space that allowed her to live comfortably on one level and connect more directly to her beloved garden.
We designed a single-story master suite addition that feels both grounded and uplifting. The layout flows naturally from the existing home, maintaining easy circulation while framing views outward toward the garden. A vaulted ceiling introduces a sense of openness and light, while carefully proportioned lines and materials respect the language of the original architecture.
The addition doesn’t try to mimic the Tudor style—it complements it. Thoughtfully selected material and subtle detailing create harmony between old and new, reflecting the Mandra Workshop approach: thoughtful design that feels both timeless and personal.
